This puppy, estimated to be around four or five months old, had bowed legs and was often avoided by people. She lived alone in a field, surviving thanks to the kindness of individuals who provided her with food and kept her alive until the volunteers from Sheremetyevo Dog Shelter found her.
Unaware of the full extent of her condition, the volunteers took her to the vet immediately. They consulted with the veterinarian, who suggested that amputation might be necessary due to her condition. They reached out to multiple doctors, determined not to give up on her or let her suffer.
While waiting for a solution, the puppy enjoyed her meals and showed curiosity despite her shyness. As a young puppy, she still required care and attention.
Renamed Kissmi, she quickly learned to enjoy giving hugs and kisses, sensing the attention and love she was receiving. It seemed like she had never experienced such affection before, and she proved to be an amazing dog.
Initially, Kissmi was frightened by the chiropractor and wanted to escape, but she soon realized that the doctor was there to help her. She eventually allowed the examination to proceed.
"I felt confident we could succeed despite the long road ahead, as I was thrilled to see her resilience during her early recovery," the veterinarian shared.
"I hope we followed the doctor's instructions properly at home when we returned with so much joy," said Kissmi's foster mother.
Kissmi received regular massages and treatments with specialized oils to enhance blood circulation and bone health. The doctor's techniques aimed to achieve the desired results, and her legs have become much thinner. For the past three weeks, she has been wearing a plaster cast.
As her condition improved, we continued with regular massages and vitamin injections, and we also ordered a custom splint for her. Despite the challenges, Kissmi worked hard to adjust to the splint during this demanding journey.
The journey was challenging, filled with sweat and tears, but the results were well worth the effort.
One unforgettable day, Kissmi ran for the first time, and the joy and excitement of that moment were indescribable.
Every day, she grows more beautiful and healthy, showcasing her intelligence and quick learning. She now enjoys a completely new life, filled with love and happiness.
