Luida dedicated much of her life to helping animals, with a particular fondness for stray dogs. When she came across a video showing four puppies living under a concrete slab, she quickly contacted a colleague to assist in the rescue effort.
They spent hours searching various locations throughout the city but struggled to find the exact spot. Just as they were about to give up, they heard faint sounds coming from beneath one of the slabs.
They Finally Found Them

Realizing they had found the right spot, Luida began to circle the slab, trying to trace the sounds coming from underneath. She discovered a small crack between the slab and the ground and bent down to get a better look.
Unable to reach the puppies initially, Luida and her colleague decided to wait, hoping one of the pups would venture out. Eventually, one brave puppy emerged into the daylight. Luida quickly scooped him up and placed him gently in a cage.
The remaining puppies, however, remained very frightened. To coax them out, Luida and her teammate poured some dog food into a container and set it near the entrance of the hole.

After a wait, the three remaining hungry puppies finally emerged, and Luida and her colleague were able to safely secure them.
As they prepared to head to the vet for a checkup, something prompted Luida to inspect the area under the slab once more. To her shock, she discovered that there were actually five puppies in total. Unfortunately, one of them had already passed away.

As they headed to the veterinary clinic, emotions of both joy and sorrow filled the air. They were relieved to have rescued four of the puppies before tragedy struck, but Luida couldn’t shake the image of the helpless pup they had lost. Determined to save the remaining dogs from a similar fate, she resolved to do everything in her power for their well-being.
Since the cause of the deceased puppy’s condition was unknown, the vets began with thorough examinations of the four surviving pups, who were clearly unwell. After careful testing, the veterinarians diagnosed them with parvovirus enteritis, a dangerous condition, especially for young puppies. As a result, the four little ones had to remain at the clinic for treatment and care.

Later, Luida shared an update on their condition in the comments of the YouTube video that captured the rescue. She mentioned that three of the puppies were on the road to recovery, while one was still battling to regain his health.
We can only hope that the story had a happy ending and that these resilient little pups went on to live the joyful lives they truly deserve after enduring so much hardship.
